Tena became a Director of Visionary Accountants in 2008 and brings a wealth of experience across a broad range of statutory services including payroll management, PAYE tax, benefits in kind, salary sacrifice schemes, statutory payments, work place pensions, automatic enrolment and human resources.
Tena takes pride in assisting her clients, alongside her team, by delivering timely and accurate payroll, pension and HR information. She ensures that deadlines are agreed in advance and that they meet the needs of the client. As part of our quality control service, queries are flagged and questioned for accuracy, making sure that the work is not just simply processed. Minimum wage checks are completed and Tena makes sure that they apply internal checks to the payrolls before they are issued to clients. Naturally, Tena is extremely security conscious and therefore ensures that any sensitive information is only released to those that are authorised by the business owner.
Statutory Pay, Pensions & Compliance
In addition, Tena oversees that any statutory payments are calculated, for example, SMP, SPP, SAP and SSP, alongside any enhanced company benefits that may be in place. Tena and her team manage clients’ automatic enrolment into workplace pension schemes, to include; employee compliance letters, opt-in/out requests, calculating and uploading contributions for payment to the pension provider. They also prepare and submit compliance declarations to The Pension Regulator.

Tena is originally from North London and now lives with her family in St Albans. Her background encompasses management in Human Resources, Payroll and Company Pension Schemes, spanning over 25 years. Her career started managing the Payroll for Johnson Matthey Plc; a multinational chemical and precious metals company, before heading up the Group HR facility for Avenue Investment Company Limited which incorporated businesses in Distribution, Manufacturing and Computer Software in the UK and Ireland.
