Jay Doshi, Chartered Tax Adviser at Visionary Accountants, St Albans is taking a holiday from his tax planning day job and taking part in a three week Macmillan China Hiking Challenge this spring. He will be trekking three to eight hours a day with a Macmillan group.
The route is both on and alongside the Great Wall of China, following it through the Yanshan Mountains. It is a challenging trek due to the many steep, stepped sections including ‘Heavens Ladder’ which is a climb of over 300 steps.
Jay Doshi said: ‘It’s great to be part of the China Hiking Challenge. I am really excited about doing the trek and staying with local Chinese families along the way. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored me and supported Macmillan Cancer Support. I have currently raised 90% of my £6,000 target. ‘
