Visionary Accountants has supported Hospice of St Francis as a corporate partner since 2015. The Hospice of St Francis is described on its website as ‘a charity that provides professional support and care for people with life shortening illnesses. We bring peace, comfort and dignity to people and help them live lift to the full, for whatever time is left.’
Elly Mitchell, Client Services Manager Visionary Accountants St Albans said:
‘We have been a corporate partner of the Hospice of St Francis for over two years. Hospice of St Francis has established excellent relationships with local business through their corporate partnership programme. We recently attended a corporate partner’s networking event at Berkhamsted Lawn Tennis & Squash Rackets club. Visionary hope to host a similar event in the near future. There are also some great community events coming up if you want to get involved. In September take part in the Trekfest – UK’s ultimate trekking challenge or Ashridge Golf Day. In October there is also a Mud Pack Challenge at Ashridge House.’
The Hospice doesn’t charge for any of the services that it offers so it relies on the generosity of the local community for 80% of its income. As well as relying on the support of corporate partners income is raised by individual fundraising initiatives, trusts, schools, community groups, shops, the lottery and gifts in wills. As a registered charity the remaining 20% is of funding comes from the NHS.
